Do you live in France, Belgium or Germany and work in Luxembourg? We prepare your Luxembourg tax return and check whether being treated as a resident lowers your tax.

What we do for you

  • Checking your situation: must you file, and is it worth filing?
  • Calculating resident treatment (assimilation): is it worthwhile for your household?
  • Preparing and filing your tax return (form 100) on MyGuichet.lu.
  • Your deductions: loan interest, insurance, pension savings, donations.
  • The amounts to report in your tax return in France, Belgium or Germany.

What you need to know

Being treated as a resident

You can be taxed as a resident if at least 90% of your income is taxable in Luxembourg, or if your income not taxable in Luxembourg is below €13,000 per year.

Belgian residents: one more rule

If you live in Belgium, you can also apply for resident treatment when at least 50% of your household’s professional income is taxable in Luxembourg.

Teleworking: 34 days per year

Whether you live in France, Belgium or Germany, you can work up to 34 days per year outside Luxembourg: your salary then remains fully taxed in Luxembourg. Every day, even a partial one, counts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to file a tax return in Luxembourg?

Not always. It is mandatory in some cases, for example if your taxable income exceeds €100,000 or if you have several salaries. In many other cases, filing is still worthwhile to get tax back. We check with you during the first call.

Is resident treatment always worthwhile?

No. Your foreign income is used to calculate your tax rate. Resident treatment is mainly worthwhile if your household has little or no income outside Luxembourg. We run the numbers with you.

What happens if I telework more than 34 days?

Luxembourg loses the right to tax the part of your salary linked to the days worked outside its territory. Those days become taxable in your country of residence. Keep an accurate record of your telework days.

Do I also have to declare my salary in my country?

Yes. Your Luxembourg salary must also be declared in your country of residence, even if it is not taxed there. We tell you which amounts to report.

How much does it cost?

From €150 incl. VAT. Add €49 incl. VAT per form 190 (rental income) and €149 incl. VAT per late year.
